SEE ME !!

See me am doing something in my life

something which is bringing appreciation

See me am doing something with my life

which would have given you satisfaction

It isn't your words which has brought my life on track

neither its your long scoldings

nor its your angry face which  you  made behind my back

but its your portrait in which I can see

a man I loved and admired and was fond of coffee

I still remember the night when while

returning home you kissed my cheek

with a lovely smile

But remembering that night

brings tears rolling down my cheeks

See me am doing something in my life

something which is bringing appreciation

See me am doing something with my life

which would have given you satisfaction

I remember when you fought with ease

against the whole administration

even though it was me who was wrong

and this fact filled me with frustration

At times I envied your child for having so wonderful dad

to the world i was always bad

your smile made me realise that I'm good lad

And see me today

I'm doing something with my life

but instead of being happy, its your absence which makes me sad

Its been years and still I remember

the time when for the last time

you came to receive us

I couldn't even recognise you

you were weak,you were thin

Your disease had eaten you up

But it was your never ending smile

which mad me think "he'll surely win"

win from your deadly disease which had made you so fragile

It was my last exam way back in 'O8

I was happy when I left the hall

and standing near the exit thought I'll go home too late

to my surprise my dad was standing there

No serious look which he always had

instead there was in his eyes fear

he said nothing and the silence was making me mad

He broke the silence with a tear

and said you departed this world

and consoled me saying that your soul

will always be in bad times near....

See me am doing something in my life

it may be that these are my good times....

See me am doing something with my life

I want you standing beside me to share the joy

the joy of these good times

but i really don't want u to be near

during the times when I have in my eyes tear!!
