You and I

Dedicated to my forever-wali gf and my bestest frnd!

I still remember the first day in your class
Confident I was
And then somewhere I made a bad impression on you
But believe me
Am real bad at impressing girls at first sight
The other day the class teacher was mad at me
Some girl complaint about my behavior
Baby it was you
Hope you remember!

A year later we were sharing a single seat
Laughing and talking all together!
I still miss those lovely days!
Those were the foundation
Of the relation we are in
A relation above friendship
A relation above blood
(But not above my love!)
Slowly through those lovely 6 hours
We made space in each other’s hearts

Session changed circumstances changed
A lot of new buddies were made
Somewhere you and I were still the same
Maybe you were the perfect girlfriend
Beautiful. At heart and physically
But I was happy with you being my friend
Friend. Only.

Things changed
Now we were in different classes
From 6 hours to merely an hour
And sometimes just meeting each other’s gaze
That phase could only make us
Physically further
But our hearts
They did come closer.

Now you and I are like earth and moon
Far yet close
Connected with no visible string
But with our hearts
I being
Your earth
Guiding you
Through the times when
You feel like getting lost!

You being the moon
Always there to enlighten me
Enlighten me with your light
At times when my life goes through night.

live IN the moment!

There are people
With sparkling smiles.
Also, there are others
Tensed due to the burden of pending files
And there are people
With neither burden nor smile
 They live tensed, they work,
To smile that perfect smile
& when it’s achieved,
They don’t find the smile worthwhile.
These are people with great appetite,
An appetite asking them to do more
But shifting their attention from
Living a moment, moment
Which for a lifetime can be adored.

Kiss

Oft I’ve heard
people describing
different kisses
kisses that brings grief
while some as soft as the roses
but the kiss that fascinates me
is the kiss after which the body doses
doses off to a sleep
a sleep of eternity
the last kiss
kiss of death
a goodbye kiss from life.
whatever it be
it is something which can’t be seen
something felt
felt by the one being kissed
isn’t it weird
that the first moist kiss
and the last lovely kiss
are both that we can’t describe
But people talk of kisses
all the rest,
the second best.
