With tunic of fogCovering the earth
Flowing from clouds, the shoulders
To the barren earth, the knee
With brim-filled oceans and sea
With dew drops on the dying weed
And when the existence of brightness cease
Winter, to the earth coolness feeds.
With creatures hiding
In the cool gloomy night
And humans outing
To places delighting the sense of sight
With silent evenings
And pleasant festive nights
With noisy marriages
And dark alleys silent crime sites
Winter cools impartially
The lively warm marriage lawns
And even the gloomy dark alleys
Be it the richWarmed by best brewed coffee
Or the poor,cold and fragile;
Shivering in a single tee.
Be it the old couples with evening stories,
Starting with “when young were we..”
Or the panchayet of young chaps
with a cup of tea.
Undoubtedly, the blessing and the curse
Of winter is showered impartially!
Undoubtedly, the blessing and the curse
Of winter is showered impartially!
